Uetliberg

Post by S:

Today we went to Uetliberg for the planet hike. It was a scale model of the solar system with different balls to represent planets. It had beautiful views, and there was a big tower you could climb up and get the best views in the world. Just don't look up when you are at the top or you are going to be nauseated.   R and I climbed up with T and T got scared. Mama and L were waving up to us at the top and we could see them. We waved back.

At the beginning there was a playground that the littles couldn't get enough of. There was a mini chair swing that L and T loved. You have to shove in a franc and run out before the thing starts spinning. I didn't do it, I let Mama do it. I didn't want to accidentally get kicked in the head by one of the littles.

We didn't go the whole way because it was really far and L was not being the fastest walker. Sometimes she'd just stand there pouting and wouldn't even get in the stroller. If I were her I'd be happy to get in the stroller. We stopped at Jupiter where there was a field of dandelions and other flowers. T said it was "Dandyland." We laid in the grass. I thought I might be able to roll down the hill but the grass was lumpier than it looked.

The hike was very very very beautiful. We decided not to go forward because we were afraid by the time we got there the gondola might have stopped running. Mama forgot her phone, so we couldn't look it up. Good thing we didn't go because at the train station Mama noticed that the gondola was closed for maintenance anyway.

We'll put some pictures up later. Surprisingly, I didn't take any, considering how beautiful the view was. We had a picnic, too. It consisted of American favorite muffins, grapes, luxembourgli, and suspicious water fountain water.
